education
The Emerald Ensemble’s Education and Outreach program is a significant part of its work in which it shares the excitement of live music-making through education and community activities. The aim is to enable young people and new audiences to experience live orchestral music and provide creative music making opportunities for people of all ages, experiences and backgrounds.
Led by animateur Julie Payne, the musicians and composers of the Emerald Ensemble provide a wealth of experience in delivering workshops, projects, family concerts, pre-concert talks etc in a variety of settings. They are passionate about supporting people of all ages and abilities and giving them the opportunity to play, compose and experience live music through a wide range of activities. Emerald Ensemble musicians can be found working off-stage and outside the concert hall with a cross section of communities - youth orchestras, the elderly, school pupils, specials needs groups and amateur enthusiasts.
